Ann Stuart Pearce
Ann Stuart Pearce is a native Atlantan and lifelong member of All Saints' Episcopal Church. She has served as the Executive Assistant to Richard Howell and the sports agency Richard Howell Sports Management, Inc. for over 15 years and counting. At other times in her working career she has taught English in China and delivered pizzas in Atlanta. She supports all of the ministries of All Saints' Episcopal Church and is honored to be on the Advisory Council for Covenant Community. She is also an usher, participates in Morning Run, Novel Theology, E-Care and the Sunday Callers ministries at All Saints'. She is married to Ellen Porter who is also on this Advisory Council. Together they try to keep up with their six godchildren, three nieces, one nephew and numerous cousins. A retired soccer player, when not working Ann Stuart enjoys playing golf and tennis, kicking field goals, traveling, and reading. Ann Stuart greatly admires all of the men of Covenant Community who work the program every day and all those who support them.
Mary M. Pike, Psy. D.
Dr. Mary M. Pike is President of Inside Job, Inc, a leadership development firm that specializes in the assessment, training and coaching of leaders. She is a consulting psychologist and business professional that specializes in facilitating improved performance in the workplace through talent management and leadership development. For the past 20 years, she has held management positions in business development and operations in large and small companies, as well as consulting for a variety of healthcare organizations, and across other industry lines.
Mary coaches with senior executives, managers, entrepreneurs and business owners assisting them in their effectiveness. Her services include facilitation, team development, executive coaching, leadership and career development, conflict resolution, instructional design and leadership / management training. She conducts diagnostics and assessments for selection, promotion, leadership development and organizational development.
Prior to founding Inside Job, Mary successfully held a teaching position and management positions at Cox Communications, Sprint Corporation and Videoconferencing Systems, Inc. She is familiar with the process of running rigorous project management and ensuring excellent client management to ensure success of any given project, from sales activities to implementing services and equipment.
Academic degrees held by Mary include a Masters and Doctor of Psychology from the Argosy University. She holds certification and years of experience in the use of numerous assessment instruments. She has also completed post-graduate certification programs in the use of Gestalt principles for individuals and organizations, Imago for partnerships and organizational communication. Mary is committed to on-going learning of leadership development models, techniques and tools, and assessment technologies. She is a graduate of the Center for Leadership Design. Current professional memberships include the American College of Healthcare Executives, American Psychological Association, Atlanta Society for Applied Psychologists, Georgia Psychological Association.
Ellen Porter
Ellen Porter is a Senior Vice President with TriMont Real Estate Advisors, Inc., a real estate financial services company. Prior to joining TriMont 12 years ago, Ellen had been in the Commercial Real Estate Group of Bank of America, and its predecessors, for 13 years. She began her professional career as a paralegal with Moore and Van Allen in Charlotte, NC focusing on commercial real estate lending. Ellen earned a B.A. in History from Duke University and then graduated from the Bank of America credit school program. Outside of work, Ellen enjoys golf, reading, and an occasional tennis match. She is very active in All Saints’ Episcopal Church, where she co-chairs the Sunday Callers Ministry with her wife (Ann Stuart Pearce), and serves as an usher, verger, and Eucharist Minister. She previously served on the All Saints’ Vestry and was a Vestry liaison serving briefly on the Board for Covenant Community. The men of Covenant continue to inspire her by their courage, strength, and hope.
Justin Tanner
Justin G. Tanner works in International Affairs and External Relations with the City of Atlanta Mayor's Office, where he helps create and maintain working relationships with state, federal and local government entities. Prior to his move to Intergovernmental Affairs, he was a Senior Communications Specialist in the Mayor's Office of Communications, where he handled executive correspondence on behalf of Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed, accompanied him to various media-related appearances and speaking engagements and worked directly on nuanced policy issues. Tanner is the author of the City of Atlanta’s recently-enacted social-media policy. He also manages social media outreach for the city’s Hire One Atlanta initiative.
Prior to joining Mayor Reed’s administration, Mr. Tanner served as the Director of New Media for the Mayor’s 2009 citywide campaign and 2010 Inaugural Planning Committee. He is also an emerging Atlanta leader -- He was recently featured in Atlanta Tribune: The Magazine as one of Atlanta's "Next Up: 25 Rising Young Stars," and he was selected as a member of LEAD Atlanta's 2012 Class. He is a 2011 NLC Fellow, a 2010 graduate of the Truman Project Partner program and completed the United Way of Metro Atlanta’s V.I.P. program.
Politically, Mr. Tanner is a National Co-Chair for Generation Forty Four (Gen44), Obama for America's newest program created to engage and empower the party’s next generation of leaders. Over the past year, he served as a Campaign Ambassador to State Senator Kasim Reed and an Advisory Board member for Covenant Community, Inc. Tanner participates as a mentor in the R.E.A.L. Men Read program with the Atlanta Public School System and is a member of Cascade United Methodist Church.
Tanner holds a J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School where he was President of the Entertainment & Sports Law Society (ESLS) and a B.B.A. in Marketing from Howard University, where he graduated magna cum laude. While matriculating at Howard, Tanner participated in the School of Business Executive Leadership Honors Program. He also became a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., Alpha Chapter.
Arthur York
Arthur, a native Atlantan and a lifetime member of All Saints', is an attorney who specializes in defending personal injury lawsuits at Hicks, Casey & Foster P.C. in Marietta. Before going to law school Arthur worked in the Atlanta Braves' Public Relations department. During law school he was a researcher, contributor and assistant editor of a study advocating for reform to the burdensome roadblocks facing individuals in Georgia attempting to reenter society after incarceration (Collateral Consequences of Arrests and Convictions: Policy and Law In Georgia; Mercer University Press, 2009). Arthur trains in boxing, jiu-jitsu and American karate, and also enjoys cooking, backpacking, basketball, soccer, and attempting to play golf. He is a Big Green Egg enthusiast and a long suffering Atlanta sports fan who lives in Grant Park with his wife, Anna, and their hound dogs Rudy and Bingo.
