Janis M. Overrocker, PhD, Chair; Decatur Psychotherapy Group
Janis is a clinical psychologist currently associated in private Practice with Decatur Psychotherapy Group. She did her American Psychological Association Internship at the former Georgia Mental Health Institute and has worked in Public Mental Health as well as Northside Hospital in Atlanta. Immediately prior to entering private practice she was the Director of Family Services at Charter Brook Hospital an Adolescent substance abuse treatment facility. Her current practice is a varied one, seeing children, adolescents and adults dealing with a wide variety of substance abuse and Mental Health problems. Her interest in Covenant Community dates to its inception as an outreach program of All Saint’s Episcopal Church. Her personal interest in addiction issues stems from being a proud supporter of a brother and nephew in recovery.
Judson Graves, Vice Chair; Alston & Bird
Judson Graves is a member of the Products Liability Group, past co-chair of the firm’s Adversarial Practice Groups and apart of the firm’s Pro Bono Committee. His practice is focused on civil jury trial work with concentration in the areas of products liability, medical malpractice, defamation and intellectual property. In his career he has tried over 100 jury cases in various states. Jud is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and in 2000 was profiled in The National Law Journal featuring 10 of the top litigators in the United States. Defense verdicts in three of his cases have been featured in the The National Law Journal’s annual compilation of “Top Defense Wins” in 1999, 2000 and 2006. In 2008 he was the third highest point getter in the state in the Georgia Super Lawyers annual survey of the top lawyers in Georgia. In 2009 he was named one of three Georgia“Lawyers of the Year” by Best Lawyers based on his particularly high level of peer recognition.
Michael Gragnani, Secretary; Bessemer Trust
Michael Gragnani is Senior Vice President and Business Development Officer with Bessemer Trust, where he is responsible for introducing individuals and families to Bessemer’s investment management and family office services. Prior to joining Bessemer, Michael was Vice President and Client Advisor for SunTrust Bank Private Wealth Management, where he handled business development and account management duties. He began his professional career in sales and recruiting for TEKsystems, a national IT and communications service firm. Michael earned a B.A. in History from the University of Virginia and an M.B.A. with a concentration in Finance from Georgia State University. He is a Certified Financial PlannerTM professional. He is currently a menmber of Zoo Atlanta's Leadership Council. He has been involved in fundraising efforts for The Marcus Autism Center and served as a Sunday School teacher at All Saints’ Episcopal Church.
David Delaney, Treasurer; Credit Suisse
David DeLaney, Director at Credit Suisse Private Bank USA, has over twenty five years of experience in the securities industry. He was Credit Suisse's first corporate services professional in the Southeastern region and has worked with the Firm's investment banking clients since joining the Firm in 1995. Prior to Credit Suisse, Mr. DeLaney worked for Merrill Lynch and Alex. Brown & Sons. Mr. DeLaney received B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Kentucky and attended the Wharton Securities Institute. Mr. DeLaney is a life long Episcopalian, married to Catherine Combs and they have two children, Evan and Courtney.
Dabney M. Daniel, Immediate Past Chair; Midsouth Capital
Dabney is an Atlanta financial advisor with MidSouth Capital, Inc., member FINRA, SIPC, MSRB. MidSouth Capital, Inc. is a registered broker-dealer and state-registered investment advisory firm associated with RBC Dain Rauscher. A graduate of Hampden-Sydney College and Oglethorpe University’s Financial Planning Program, he is also a trustee and member of the Investment Committee of the Georgia Foundation for Independent Colleges, having served as a member and chair of that organization’s Board of Governors. He is treasurer of Covenant Community, Inc. and is a member and former director of the Dunwoody Rotary Club. He and his wife live in Atlanta.
Micheal Aiken, Rapphannock Fund
He attended Randolph Macon College in Ashland, Virginia where he studied chemistry. Michael Aiken is the managing director for the Rappahannock Fund, a family fund focused on hedging risk in the ever changing economic landscape. Prior to that, he worked for seven years with CB Richard Ellis as a commercial real estate leasing agent for clients with multistory assets in Buckhead, Perimeter, and Alpharetta. Michaels has been a parishioner at All Saints for the past eight years and has co-chaired the Calling Committee for the Stewardship Campaign and has subsequently worked on the stewardship team the years following. During the past three years, he and his wife Leslie have taught Sunday School for the 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th graders. Michael, Leslie and their two daughters Katherine and Jane reside in Decatur.
Barbara Blender; Tri Bridge Residential
Barbara Blender is Office Manager for Tri Bridge Residential, overseeing the day-to-day management of their home office. She attended University of Rhode Island and the New York Institute of Finance. She serves as president of her condominium association, and was twice elected to the Vestry of All Saints Episcopal Church. Ms. Blender is also involved with Noah’s Ark, a rescue program for abused and neglected children and animals.
Robert A. Boas
A retired lawyer, Mr. Boas is currently employed on a part-time basis as Operations Manager at the International Community School in Decatur, Georgia, a DeKalb Countypublic charter elementary school. In this capacity, he assists the Principal in the non-academic aspects of running the school. For the past seven years, he has also served as an Adjunct Professor of Law at Georgia State University, where he has taught a course in litigation and trial practice. From 1984 to 2002, when he retired from the full-time practice of law, Mr. Boas was Senior Litigation Counsel at The Coca-Cola Company inAtlanta. Prior to his work at Coke, Mr. Boas was in private practice with two law firms (Hartford, CT and Atlanta, GA) and also served as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Northern District of Georgia in Atlanta. Mr. Boas’ wife of 39 years, Suzanne Boas, is president of Consumer Credit Counseling Service. They are the parents of two grown children-- a son Taylor, who in the 2010-’11 academic year will be an assistant professor of political science at Boston University, and a daughter Heidi, who practices immigration law in Washington, D.C.. Mr. Boas’ outside interests include hiking, travel, photography, the arts, and archaeology.
David W. Foerster, Jr.
David W. Foerster, Jr., served two terms as vice-chair of the Covenant Community Board and remains active as both a member of Covenant's Board of Directors and the Executive Committee. He is the former founding director of the Addictive Disease Resource Center, a ministry of the Cathedral of St. Philip in the Diocese of Atlanta. In 1984, he established The Resource Center, a not-for-profit, organization that provided a wide range of addictive disease and related services to individuals, their families and their employers. No one was ever turned away for financial reasons. He created the first Lawyer Assistance Program for the State Bar of Georgia & The Senior Executive Service. His innovative work has been featured by all three national news networks, CNN, Fox, and the Canadian Broadcasting Service, as well in the print media including a book written by a Wall Street Journal reporter. In 2001, he founded The Foerster Group, Inc., an international crisis mediation and intervention service. Before he became a full time writer in 2006, Mr. Foerster was a Nationally Certified Addiction Counselor, Level II, a Certified Clinical supervisor and an Employee Assistance Professional. He has published widely on various subjects including the fine and performing arts. He has a special interest in English and American choral music. David is currently writing a dual murder mystery. Having taught adult formation classes, been a member of GIFT, the Wednesday Morning Group and a friend of the Concert Series, he has been active at All Saints' Episcopal Church since 1984. In addition to being member of the Covenant Board he is a life member of the Advisory Council and a member of the Music Committee of the Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens in Jacksonville, Florida. A native of Jacksonville, he has lived in Atlanta for over three decades. He was schooled at Woodberry Forest School, Davidson College, and the University of Florida.
George C. Gaskin; Taylor English Duma, LLP
George Gaskin is a partner with the Atlanta law firm of Taylor English Duma, LLP, where he focuses upon securities and corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions and corporate representation. He represents and advises issuers in public and private offerings of debt and equity securities, in mergers, acquisitions and dispositions and in general corporate and commercial matters. He also advises public companies on their reporting obligations under federal securities laws, national stock exchanges and the National Association of Securities Dealers, Inc. In addition, George served as the reviewing partner for the Corporate Governance Quick Reference Guide published by McKenna Long & Aldridge, a national law firm headquartered in Atlanta and with whom George practiced law from January 2001 through March 2006. Prior to joining McKenna Long & Aldridge, George served in various capacities for Anacomp, Inc., a NASDAQ-listed document management company, for more than ten years, most recently as senior vice president, general counsel and secretary.
James Marshall
Dana Rouillard; Op5, Solutions, Inc
Dana Rouillard is a Director of Marketing for Op5 Inc in Kennesaw, Georgia that specializes in corporate marketing programs, fulfillment and logistics. He attended Lees McCray College in Banner Elk, NC where he studied Business. He is also an alumnus of Covenant Community, Inc. where he was a resident in 1996. Dana also facilitates the annual Thanksgiving Dinner at All Saints Episcopal Church. To further his recovery he in involved in a weekly AA Big Book study that has 25 members. He has also served as Secretary and GSR for several AA meetings in Metro Atlanta. He also has worked on projects with Habitat for Humanity and Atlanta Union Mission. He currently resides in Kennesaw with his wife Dee, and daughter, Taylor.
Charles M. Taylor; Reynolds Capital Group
Chuck Taylor came to Reynolds Capital Group in summer 2009, where he currently servesas Director of Acquisitions for the company’s land fund. Reynolds Capital Group is the private equity arm of Reynolds Companies, which owns and operates Reynolds Plantation at Lake Oconee, GA. Prior to his involvement at Reynolds Capital, Mr. Taylor was a Vice President with JP Morgan in Atlanta where he oversaw underwriting for the East Coast offices of the investment bank’s Commercial Real Estate Capital Market. Chuck received a Bachelors degree in Economics and a Masters degree in Real Estate and Urban Planning from the University of Florida. Mr. Taylor resides in Druid Hills with his wife Kelli and three daughters, Catherine, Lillian, and Abigail.
Nelson O. Tyrone, III; Nelson O. Tyrone, P.C. - Trial Lawyer
Nelson Tyrone is a Personal Injury lawyer representing people with catastrophic and permanent injuries and families who have lost a loved one. He is a nationally-recognized trial attorney and member of the staff of Gerry Spence’s Trial Lawyers College in Dubois, Wyoming. He is a regular speaker and teacher at seminars across the country – teaching other lawyers how to discover the story of their case. He is a founder of The Red Clay Democrats and serves as All Saints pro-bono counsel. Nelson has completed several Marathons and completed an IronMan triathlon in 2008. He is a graduate of Episcopal High School, the University of Virginia, and the University of Georgia School of Law. His brilliant and lovely wife Leslie is a Residential Architect in private practice. They live in the Druid Hills area of Atlanta with their daughter Leslie Munday and their dogs Beau and Emily.
